Support the Compensation function by: carrying out ongoing operations, development, data management and maintenance of compensation tools and reports; conducting competitive internal and external market analyses and developing related recommendations; participating in all fiscal and calendar year-end total compensation review activities; managing the annual market survey participation process.  

Primary Responsibilities:

Carry-out ongoing maintenance and administration of compensation data tools and resources primarily using Microsoft Excel and HR Systems.  Manage all components of employee compensation data management within these systems, including base salaries, bonuses, commissions and equity.  Ensure superior data integrity and quality assurance.  Analyze day to day compensation information needs, and suggest improvements to data records, data maintenance, data flow, and reporting tools.

Compile, summarize and analyze external market survey results and internal pay data for use across various decision-points (e.g. development of hiring ranges, new hire recommendations, standard and ad hoc reports, year-end cycle review process, etc.).  Propose recommendations to compensation team members based on key themes identified during data analysis.

Design, generate and support standard and custom compensation reports and other compensation analyses including charts and graphs using primarily Excel and potentially Access or other tools.  Participate in creation of presentations utilizing PowerPoint.

Manage the annual benchmark survey submission process and integration of survey results.  Coordinate review with managers across the firm, develop review tools, and work with external survey provider on all steps of the submission and review process.

Carry out development, distribution and presentation of reports and other processes related to the year-end base salary, bonus and equity award cycle.   Partner with HRIS team throughout process.

Manage process for sales/commission plan documentation and communication, and serve as participant on EVD Compensation Steering Committee.  Partner with sales incentive compensation team within finance.

Partner with finance to provide compensation information in support of budget process and planning.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Some experience in an analytical role within either HR, Finance, or similar function preferred. Very strong expertise in Excel required; Solid proficiency in MS Word, Access and Powerpoint. Experience with Workday preferable. Superior attention to detail; must ensure exceptional data integrity and quality. Strong data analysis skills required – must have experience gathering, organizing and analyzing large amounts of data, interpreting the data and then communicating/presenting the results in an organized fashion. Strong organizational skills, effective time management, and prioritization Must be resourceful – ability to effectively leverage resources available Must be detail oriented and a logical thinker Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be a team player who can also work independently (self starter)
