Business System Analyst
Business Systems Analyst (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston , Massachusetts): The Business Systems Analyst will perform systems analysis for various projects. This position will liaise with the project sponsors, stakeholders, external vendors, and other divisions within State Street to ensure the delivery of quality products within the expected timeframes. This position will create documentation to ensure that our development solutions are successfully implemented. This individual will work under minimal direction, while keeping management and team members apprised of issues and project status. Specific duties of the position include: liaising with project managers, application managers, business managers, and the development and QA team members; working on virtual project teams that frequently include team resources from two or more global locations; a nalyzing different financial software systems to understand their current state, perform gap analysis and propose future state that meets business requirements; gathering requirements from business users and creating Business Specification Documents/user stories; acting as a proxy customer and working with development and test teams to communicate and prioritize requirements and approve completed functionality for production release; working with test team to review test scenarios and test cases to ensure complete coverage of requirements; facilitating and conducting business user acceptance testing and production checkout; analyzing system and data issues faced by business users in production; d eveloping and maintaining business and technical solution documentation; d eveloping project/product roadmap using tools like Microsoft Project and driving product development and delivery; f acilitating communication between internal and external resources, both locally and offshore; mentoring more junior staff on roles and responsibilities of business systems analysis; and applying analytical skills to interpret business and functional requirements.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or its equivalent; and 5 years experience in data/systems analysis and project management.

Must have: Demonstrated ability to perform systems analysis; proven knowledge of Agile Scrum and Waterfall Software Development Framework; demonstrated experience working with the Microsoft Office suite of products including MS Project, Visio, and Powerpoint; d emonstrated experience performing data analysis using SQL queries and tools like SQL Developer/Squirrel/Toad/Teradata; demonstrated experience performing data analytics and visualization using tools like Spotfire/Tableau and advanced Microsoft Excel functions; demonstrated experience creating flow diagrams, use cases, wireframes, data diagrams and data models using tools like Microsoft Visio; proven knowledge of business process management toolkits like JBPM and identity and access management systems like SailPoint; and demonstrated experience working with financial regulations and regulatory reports like C3OP, RRP, BCBS 248, SFTR and FR 2052a. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)
