Position Overview :
In this role, the Business Development Specialist will provide support to the Americas Business Development team. This is a fast-paced role with a broad range of responsibilities including scheduling and tracking meetings, facilitating meeting materials, attending onsite meetings and coordinating prompt follow up. Additionally, this person will oversee new account start-ups, manage the RPF process, act as a resource on ad-hoc projects and establish strong internal and external relationships. This position is ideal for an energetic, curious and confident individual who is passionate about the financial services industry and is seeking a long-term career in institutional business development.

Responsibilities :
  • Support the efforts of the Officer(s) to properly and proactively prospect
  • Schedule and track prospect and client meetings
  • Facilitate and prepare materials for prospect meetings and calls
  • Attend onsite meetings and conference calls and write up notes
  • Ensure prompt follow up to prospects on inquiries and requests by working with internal groups
  • Maintain contacts, opportunities and activities in CRM system
  • Manage and oversee new account start-ups, account closings and coordinate cash flows
  • Manage the RFP process
  • Perform support duties as needed
  • Act as a resource for ad hoc projects
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with various internal functional groups
  • Acquire an understanding of Acadian's business processes and functional groups
  • Be seen as a trusted, approachable and reliable contact for prospects and clients

Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 - 4 years of experience, preferably within the f inancial services i ndustry
  • Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook , Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Superior organizational skills and the ability to prioritize time-sensitive tasks
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow through
  • Self-starter with positive attitude
  • Team player
