Application Development Consultant
Application Development Consultant (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, MA): serves as a senior level developer across multiple delivery initiatives. This individual analyzes, designs, and facilitates automation of testing software applications. This individual also controls and/or provides solutions to single and/or multiple organizations, with minimal management guidance. Specific duties of the position include: providing technical expertise in analyzing, designing, estimating, and developing software applications to project schedule; creating technical project plans and deliverables and monitoring task deadlines; providing technical subject matter expertise in reviewing, analyzing, and resolving complex issues; resolving, communicating, and escalating critical technical issues; preparing user and systems documentation as needed; identifying and recommending Industry best practices working in a team of agile developers; working in a complex deadline driven projects environment with minimal supervision; designing/developing with minimum requirements by effectively coordinating activities among business analysts, scrum leads, developers and managers; and providing agile status notes on day-to-day project tasks.

Minimum requirements are: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field plus 5 years of pre- or post- Bachelor's experience in application development.

Must have: strong hands on experience in testing technologies and methodologies; proven experience with cloud-based technologies; proven experience with SQL, Stored Procedures and programming; solid end-to-end understanding of software architecture, design, development and implementation; solid ability with Scrum, Agile modeling and adaptive software development; solid ability with continuous integration and build process, test automation and deployment; proven solid ability to apply, design and develop automated testing strategies and build automated testing frameworks.
