We are seeking a Research Analyst to join our Core portfolio management team, which is responsible for the portfolio management of our long-only active equity strategies. This person will support portfolio managers and will work closely with other analysts within the Core portfolio management team and other investment teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Portfolio and Associate Portfolio Managers in all aspects of research and oversight
  • Write computer programs to assist with:
    • Identifying the key sources of performance and positioning in portfolios
    • Researching improvements to our systematic process
    • Evaluating the impact of systematic process changes on portfolios
  • Perform sophisticated statistical and financial analyses, including portfolio simulations
  • Write computer programs to locate, extract, visualize and analyze data, including from large unstructured datasets

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, or similar discipline is required
  • Five years or less of relevant work and/or research experience
  • World-class analytic skills, as demonstrated by standardized test scores, problem solving abilities, and prior work experience
  • Facility with widely used and applied concepts in probability and statistics, linear algebra, and multivariate calculus
  • Strong computing skills, and the ability to parse, process, and analyze large unstructured data-sets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to work in a collegial, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with others and resourcefulness in navigating an organization
  • Experience with programming languages, databases, and tools, strong knowledge of Python preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets
