We are searching for a Senior Tax Accountant!

The Senior Tax Analyst will support numerous tax operation initiatives related to all WK divisions including tax compliance, audits and tax accounting. The role will have significant involvement in tax and finance systems to continue developing process improvements. The role will also have the opportunity to learn IFRS and assist in tax planning initiatives. The right candidate will be a team-player with excellent communication skills, have a passion for technology and systems and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Support all aspects of the U.S. federal and state income tax compliance process
• Prepare federal tax returns for inclusion in corporate consolidated 1120 return
• Prepare state income and franchise tax returns
• Prepare international tax forms including Forms 5471, 5472 and Forms 8990-8993
• Interact with key contacts within Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting to gather information and understand the impacts to federal and state tax returns
• Assist in driving tax technology initiatives and make recommendations for process improvements
• Prepare estimated tax payments
• Conduct tax research either on a project basis, or as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent work experience
• 3+ years corporate tax or public accounting experience
• Experience with tax software, such as Corptax or Onesource, preferred
• CPA certification and/or Masters in Tax preferred
• Ability to analyze and solve problems in a timely manner with excellent communication and organizational skills
• Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines
• Strong technology skills, using tax software and general ledger systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
