Citi's North America Consumer Banking (NACB) division is looking for full-time Analysts to join its Citi Retail Services Credit Cards team. Citi Retail Services (CRS) provides consumer and commercial private label credit card products, services, and retail solutions to national retailers across the U.S. servicing more than 70 million accounts. CRS is a relationship business that has established our success through key partnerships with some of the nation's most iconic retailers:  Best Buy, Brooks Brothers, Exxon/Mobil, The Home Depot, Macy's, and Ford  -  just to name a few.  Here at CRS, we see ourselves as more than a credit card provider to our retailers. We deliver deep customer and industry insights and expertise to help our partners expand their business and deepen customer relationships so that we can grow together.

We are committed to teaching you the ropes. Our two year Analyst program starts in June 2019 with a one-week training program in Elk Grove Village, IL. (near Chicago). The program is a rotational introduction to various disciplines which includes two of the following: Marketing, Research, Program/Project Management, Digital, Relationship/Partner Management, or Decision/Financial/Risk Analysis. 

After a placement process based on your interests and our business needs, you will join a CRS team in Atlanta or Elk Grove Village, followed by the opportunity to rotate to another team for broader experience. People learn differently, so we're combining formal training with hands-on experience to help you build your functional skill set, which will be of value to you as well as CRS as you continue your career. This will allow you to ramp up quickly and adapt to your role while learning the culture at Citi. You will begin your journey through the Track with a group of new hires just like you… and you'll have plenty of opportunities to network with these peers along the way.  You will gain exposure to cross functional teams while learning best practices from key leaders within the company to deliver value to the organization. These ongoing learning assignments will help develop professional, technical and interpersonal skills.  You will also be paired with a mentor, someone who will help you develop professionally and advise you throughout your training.  Participants will have opportunities to interact with senior leaders and executive management teams.  By the end of the program, you will have gained an in-depth understanding of Citi Retail Services.  Successful employees will have the opportunity to apply for full-time open positions.

Your typical day will look something like this…

As part of our program, you will gain experience in two of the following areas:

Whether designing break-through customer messaging or the next great rewards program, our Marketing teams are at the center of everything we do. In Marketing, you'll work with leading creative agencies to design acquisition and existing card member programs, as well as consumer insights teams to peek inside the minds of our customers. You may also work with Citi's investment banking teams to understand where the industry is headed. Finally, you'll work with our Relationship Management teams (and often times our retail partners) to bring your ideas to fruition.

Program/Project Management & Operations (Chief Operating Office)
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) touches a little bit of everything. Like the glue that holds it all together, the COO supports a number of cards business initiatives, including how to manage business practices, project management, business reengineering and Operations. The team also works across Citi's functions to manage portfolios and deliver Citi services to each of our partners.

In Digital, you'll work with cutting-edge digital agencies and internal partners (Marketing, Relationship Management, and COO) to drive the digital revolution within Citi Retail Services. You'll help build the programs and infrastructure, and execute digital campaigns to provide our customers with a secure and seamless experience, whether they engage with us via their mobile devices, tablets or desktops.

Partner/Relationship Management
You'll have opportunities to directly interface daily with the some of the most iconic brands in retailing as part of the Relationship Management team. This team is responsible for applying ingenuity, experience and passion to meet the challenges and opportunities for our Retail Partners on their road from ambition to achievement. A role in Relationship Management is incredibly rewarding as the team serves as a catalyst and enabler of progress in cooperation with all of the fully integrated teams across our business.

Analytical Team ( Decision Management, Risk, Finance )
As a member of one of our analytical teams, you may have the opportunity in finance to participate in preparation and presentation of financial data and metrics analysis to enable meaningful management review and decision-making.  Or you may be on a risk team where you will be responsible for developing, analyzing and executing ideas and initiatives designed to achieve business growth & loss mitigation goals. Or you may spend a rotation in decision management translating complex and large amounts of data into insights such as market trend changes, customer purchase prediction or viability of new retail store openings.  


What we need you to bring is…
  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Recent college graduate with 1-3 years of work experience.
  • An analytical mindset.
  • Excellent project management, interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to drive and implement ideas in a changing environment.
  • An extremely proactive and organized style with a track record of success in a team environment.
  • The ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment.
  • The desire and ability to innovatively and creatively problem solve.
