The Role: We are seeking a Web Marketing Manager, Indexes to help drive engagement, pipeline and revenue growth across our Morningstar Index products and solutions through optimization and testing of our web property. As the Web Marketing Manager, you will create engaging experiences that support and educate customers throughout their online experience.


As part of the Indexes Marketing team, you will liaise closely with Morningstars talented team of designers, writers, engineers, marketers, and project managers, leveraging best practice and technology to maximize success. The ideal candidate should have a strong test and learn orientation with the ability to translate insight into enhanced user experience for key target audiences. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a real business impact for Morningstar Indexes.


This role reports to the Head of Indexes Marketing and is located in our Chicago office.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of best-in-class digital marketing program strategy and execution that drives brand awareness, solutions consideration and revenue.

  • Manage web experience strategy and execution for Morningstar Indexes.

  • Act as Web lead, business stakeholder and customer champion in advocating for the web experience.

  • Develop and execute roadmap to continuously improve the in-market performance of site/program.

  • Establish specific KPIs and ensure reporting is in place to measure effectiveness and optimize results.

  • Work directly with development and operations teams on clarification of requirements.

  • Rigorously test, analyze, and optimize marketing content performance.

  • Lead user experience testing and evaluation.

  • Partner with Product Marketing to ensure consistency of messaging across marketing programs and campaigns.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of digital marketing experience - in the financial services industry a plus.

  • Experience developing business-driven web strategy for multiple audiences

  • Outcome-oriented, with an emphasis on creating unique experiences for our customers

  • Deep understanding of web analytics, SEO, A/B testing, tagging, and content management.

  • Experience using marketing tech platforms Salesforce, Eloqua, Tableau, Google Analytics among others, and in a B2B demand generation environment is preferred.

  • A track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams as well as working independently and autonomously.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and prioritize work to deliver high-quality work on time.

  • Exceptional writing and presentation skills.

  • High attention to detail in both written and visual context.

  • Possess a positive attitude, good sense of humor, and the ability to be empathetic towards the needs of customers and prospects.

  • Bachelor's degree.
