Job Description â€" Sr Regulatory Analyst

The Legal Department is looking to fill the open role of Sr Regulatory Analyst. This role will be expected to assist all of the Legal Department’s Regulatory attorneys in their day-to-day activities providing counsel to the Company’s regulated subsidiaries. The Sr Regulatory Analyst will have a primary role in all aspects of the operation of the Company’s rule filing process. This position will be expected to be able to draft, negotiate, and submit required rule filings with the CFTC. This position will also have a particular focus on providing substantial support for the market maker and incentive program rule submission process. For example, the role will represent Legal in the regular and periodic fee team and RDP meetings and will provide regulatory counsel to these units and help prepare and submit all required filings.

Principal Accountabilities:
* Assist Legal Department Regulatory attorneys providing advice to internal business units on all aspects of regulatory matters; provide legal research or other support to all Legal Department team members regarding the regulatory requirements that relate to the Company’s DCMs, DCO, SEF, SDR and other regulated entities.
* Assist and support other Legal Department team members on special project that arise from time to time, including administrative tasks relating to regulatory applications, exam management, periodic regulatory reporting to international regulators, document reviews and productions, etc.
* Assist the Company’s general rule filing process and the fee team and incentive program process in particular; draft and edit required submissions; work with internal business units in connection with the preparation and drafting of rule submissions; address and respond to questions received from CFTC staff; maintain the Legal Department’s master roster of all CFTC filings; organize and run weekly status meetings and processing all internal notifications of the submissions that have been submitted via the CFTC’s online portal.
* Assist in updating the Company’s online Rulebook and publishing to the Company’s website.
* Provide legal research and analysis on CFTC, SEC, and other regulatory requirements and international standards.
* Provide general support to the Legal Department by assuming administrative tasks, preparing and submitting FOIA requests for confidential treatment, organizing department meetings, working on internal departmental projects, etc.
* Provide occasional support in the review of marketing materials and other client communications.

Skills & Software Requirements:
It is very important for the person in this role to be moderately proficient in basic office software programs including, Adobe Acrobat, outlook, word and excel. This role will be responsible for scheduling and running routine status meetings and will also be primarily responsible for heavy drafting and editing chores.
