The Cash Management Industry is going through a major transformation and requires a greater level of focus and engagement on emerging digital trends, commercialization of new products and strategic advisory to clients.
The Strategic Product Sales Specialist will be a critical part of advancing the CCB strategy on digital payments and driving new business development for our Cash Management business, across the CCB and TTS product lines. This person will be assigned targets in helping to generate new pipeline, grow existing wallets and provide strategic counsel to a set number of competitive bids.
Reporting into the GNI Treasury Sales Head, and covering North America parented companies, the incumbent has primary responsibility for:
  • Direct leadership of client advisory for top tier CCB names to increase both CCB and TTS cash management pipeline for both fast-growing and strategically important client names.
  • Drive payments revenue growth and commercialization of upcoming new digital products.
  • Spearheading overall commercialization of both CCB and TTS toolkits and content, to equip Sales/Banking teams to have maximal business impact.
  • Assessing client trends to identify gaps/opportunities for Citi's value proposition and providing detailed insights to product/market management teams.
  • Work closely with Product Management on refinement of solution development, product positioning and packaging to suit market requirements.
  • Thought leadership in cash and treasury management trends and best practices.
  • Deploying best practice client facing tools to target clients, in partnership with Sales/Banking, to engage clients and build Citi's Thought Leadership status.
The role is integral to the Treasury Sales Team across all segments - the incumbent will partner with team members in other regions (Latin America, EMEA and APAC), as well as with Global Product Management,  Global Digital Ecosystem Team and partners in CCB, FXLM and TTS.
Qualifications include experience in product and sales management, across an array of Treasury Products.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years prior Treasury Product or Sales Management or similar experience.
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas and analytics in succinct and easy to grasp form as well as conceptual framework creation.
  • Established or understanding of innovations and disruptive technologies in the corporate treasury space.
  • Deep understanding of client trends in liquidity, working capital, risk management, treasury technology etc. and distill them for mass consumption and direct business impact.
  • Strong knowledge of the TTS and CCB cash management business, revenue drivers, and products.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work across direct and virtual teams, cutting across silos and boundaries, with the focus on driving value for client and new revenues for Citi.
  • Confidence, ability and maturity needed to work closely with product, sales and banking stakeholders, at all levels on a daily basis.
  • Analytical ability to develop, evolve and industrialize processes from that drive replication, self-service and economies of scale.
  • Proven abilities to focus resources and leverage data and analysis to drive towards business objectives.
  • Desire to challenge the conventional, own a problem, bring others on board and drive the firm to creating solutions.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to gather consensus on priorities and drive initiatives.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, excel and analytical skills a must
  • Keen abilities in delivering presentations and other forms of verbal and written communication including ways to leverage virtual communities, social media, Collaborate, surveys, etc.
  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering Degree - Preferably major in Finance; CFA, MBA or equivalent professional qualification preferred
