Grant Thornton is seeking an Senior QA Testing Lead Associate to join its DT&M service line, in Chicago, IL, to take an active role in engagement execution, project management and key business development activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading resolution for defects reported and escalated matters with application vendors, and will assist with QA updates for IT Directors and Business Leads.

Collaborate with various levels of management to ensure requirements defined have been captured in test cases and have traceability.
Work closely with Project Managers to keep realistic schedules and identify task dependencies.
Coordinate the setup of each testing environment, ensuring refreshes of data sets and access is scheduled as needed for each iteration of testing.
Assist with performing test execution, test analysis and debugging review with vendors and business users.
Participate in daily team and business status meetings.
Work closely with business, vendors and technical teams allowing for successful test phases.
Responsible for execution and alerting of teams and managers of obstacles, issues, and risks.
Ability to discuss status of all open issues facing the test team and describes actions taken to mitigate them.
Identify transitional tasks from testing to production ensuring all Grant Thornton applications will have a smooth production Go Live.
Create, review and update SQL queries for test cases and resolving test errors.
Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with teams.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, Business Information Systems or related field
At least three years of experience with Quality Assurance, Requirements Elicitation, and Testing Management
Experience with QA Test strategy plans
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
