    Responsibilities

    The Senior Fair and Responsible Compliance Manager (SCM) will assist in the development and implementation of CIBC Bank USA’s Fair and Responsible Banking Program, including the Complaint Management, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Fair Lending, and Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP) Programs. The SCM is responsible for implementing and maintaining these programs and managing the Fair and Responsible Banking Compliance team to ensure compliance oversight and provide support to lines of business and operational areas, which include but are not limited to:

    • Completing Fair Lending and UDAAP compliance risk assessments and assessing applicable compliance requirements for the comprehensive Compliance Risk Assessment
    • Developing and maintaining effective CRA, Fair Lending and UDAAP policies and procedures which are commensurate with the size and complexity of the organization and remain current and reflective of regulatory requirements and organizational processes
    • Advising the lines of business and operational areas on Fair and Responsible Banking Program issues, including regulatory and business changes
    • Analyzing and monitoring of ongoing fair lending and CRA risks and activities of the front office through assessments including, but not limited to, mapping analyses, lending distribution reporting, CRA self-assessment, and regression analyses
    • Administering CRA and Fair Lending Wiz through gathering, reviewing, analyzing and reporting data in fulfillment of the Bank’s fair lending and CRA Compliance obligations
    • Preparing and submitting the annual CRA Sunshine Act, home mortgage and small business regulatory data submission in a timely and accurate manner
    • Preparing Board and management reporting on applicable program components and metrics
    • Assisting in the coordination of audit and exam materials
    Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of all fair and responsible banking laws, regulations and guidance, including but not limited to Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), CRA, Unfair, Deceptive or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), Servicemembers’ Civil Relief Act (SCRA), Military Lending Act (MLA), and Vendor Risk Management
    • 10+ years’ experience in regulatory compliance, CRCM, and/or JD
    • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications, and leadership skills to develop members of the Fair and Responsible Banking team and overall Compliance Department
    • Effective people and project management skills to lead and contribute to projects and the Fair and Responsible Banking team
    • Strong research, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with ability to identify compliance risks and issues for escalation to management, as necessary
    • Ability to manage workload and shift priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic and rapidly-changing environment
