Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified individuals for management, executive and specialist positions, which are often complex in nature. Provides consulting services to hiring managers and advises on hiring strategies & processes including development of recruitment strategies, provide market intelligence, sourcing, and screening, and identifying qualified candidates. Key responsibilities include:

  • Interviewing, and hiring qualified individuals for key areas of the bank including management and specialist positions.

  • Interfaces with management to understand their needs for specific job functions and the requirements of different business areas.

  • Consults management on hiring practices, policies and procedures.

  • Develops pipeline for hard to fill or high volume positions.

  • Identifies and maintains relationships with relevant third party recruiting organizations when needed.

  • Coordinates the use of third party recruiting organizations with Human Resources Managers and hiring managers.

  • Market Northern Trust and consults with managers and their teams on presenting Northern as an employer of choice

  • Constructs and negotiates complex offers of employment and consults with hiring managers, compensation reps, and HR managers.

  • Proactively maintains and shares market intelligence, knowledge, including undertaking research.

  • Keeps abreast of recruiting best practices and share them to Northern as appropriate.

  • Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.

  • Strategic in developing, implementing and administering HR programs within functional areas

  • Works on assigned projects and may serve as project lead

  • 8 - 10 years of experience Is a technical expert with in-depth knowledge of all areas of recruitment and sourcing methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of the business unit and corporate strategy.
  • Financial services industry experience is preferred.
  • Requires excellent selling and oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent consulting and influencing skills and the ability to develop in-depth relationships with managers, Human Resources professionals and external third parties.
  • Strong systems skills, particularly recruitment systems (Taleo).
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of compensation policies, compliance, and hiring practices.
