ROLE OVERVIEW

We are building a small new team within Equities business (PM Dev group) focused on portfolio construction and trading starting with risk management as the focus and a scope to grow further. This team has the unique advantage of directly impacting the firms performance outcome and in turn a better outcome for our investors as well.

In the role of a Quantitative Developer, the employee will be responsible for the following:

  • Technical improvements to our back-testing and simulation framework (speed, data management)
  • Support optimization process upgrades for new features and expand for global trading needs
  • Risk portfolio analytics and monitoring process improvements and maintenance
  • Regular testing of the platform, building regression tests
  • Automated job setup, data persistence of relevant results,
  • Regular review of trading metrics
  • Ad-hoc analysis and research to improve the overall outcome for the business
  • Sourcing, piping and initial analysis of data collaborating with various teams within the firm
  • Maintenance of the portfolio construction platform / code, upgrading for new environment and newer technological solutions

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

In order to effectively perform in this position and represent the Company, the employee must display the following attributes:

  • Programming experience with Python and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of programming and DevOps concepts
  • Working knowledge of Linux / windows servers, cloud-based computing (e.g. AWS), and version control systems (e.g. git)
  • Attention to detail takes ownership of projects with a strong focus on quality and correctness
  • Motivated, hard-working, and self-starter
  • Strong interest in financial markets; experience in finance is not required

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • Graduate or undergraduate work in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, computational finance or other quantitative field is strongly desired
  • 0-2 years of experience in a quant developer / financial engineering role
