The successful candidate will benefit from having:The Investment Risk and Analytical Services (IRAS) team has been providing investment performance to Northern Trust clients for over four decades. IRAS provides investment analytics for a diverse global client base of Asset Managers, Institutional, and Ultra High Net Worth clients. The Performance Product Manager role within the PRADA Analytics team is responsible for setting the product vision, defining a product strategy and developing a roadmap that meets both business goals and the customer needs. The Product Manager directs the product lifecycle for assigned performance measurement and investment analytic tools. The product life cycle includes four phases discovery and innovation, new product planning, new product development and launch and all post launch product management. Manage Product Lifecycle: o Contributes to IRAS Investment Performance product management over the entire product lifecycle. o Initiate, participates or leads one or more efforts that impact a product lifecycle or deliverable within a product or across the product umbrella, may have a technology or change component. o Participates or leads two to three+ initiatives. Drive Product Strategy o Formulate and execute strategy o Create annual and multi-year roadmaps o Participate in capital planning cycle o Prioritization product backlog and long term backlogs Deliver Marketing Support o Support internal partner knowledge and awareness of all products o .Coordinates external marketing, go to market strategy, press releases o Sales support and RFP file maintenance o Client Presentations and Product Releases Stake Holder Communication o Works closely with application Product Owners to execute and deliver strategic initiatives. o Communicates horizontally across multiple business units including technology, sales, and client servicing to drive results o Communicates vertically from entry level operations partners to senior level Executives Vice Presidents o Comfortable balancing the needs of multiple business stakeholders, making judgement calls about relative priority of competing demands, and keeping all stakeholders up to date with clear status updates and reasonable expectations for delivery. Vendor Management o Responsible for required Model Risk review and monitoring o Works with procurement to maintain 3rd party license and contracts o Stays up to date on all current and potential vendor engagements. Industry Knowledge o Prepares industry and competitor analysis o SWOT and PRESTO analysis o Participates in industry conferences and events

The key responsibilities of the role include:Bachelors or preferably advanced degree in a finance-related field. Investment Performance Measurement expertise knowledge and skills usually acquired through an advanced degree program, related work experience, or related certifications such as: CFA / CIPM / FRM / CAIA or other related investment certification. Minimum five years in the financial services industry (preferably in the Performance Analytics space). Ten or more years would be strongly preferred. Industry-recognized accreditation a plus. Domain expertise possesses strong working knowledge of investment rates of return calculation, performance attribution, index construction, investment classification hierarchies, and understanding of how these concepts factor into the investment decision making process for our clients. Self-starter, performs independently with coaching, leads peers, consults with clients and across Product & NT to solve complex and complicated issues. Masters core responsibilities, able to research and resolve complex issues. Contributes to building a strong team. Contributes addvalues services to team and client. Strategic thinking able to assess strengths and weaknesses of existing capabilities, synthesize client feedback and requests for new features, design and articulate a future state vision for the business capability, and build the business case for potential investment in the capability.
