RSM is seeking a self-motivated, forward-thinking go-getter for their Internal Client Service (ICS) opening who will work closely with our National Risk Consulting Practice Leaders as well as other Leaders/Executives within the firm. Consulting Operations supports the practice by collaborating with all functional areas and enabling solutions that optimize resource and financial performance, minimize risk, and maximize client experience.

The Operations role is responsible for providing operational support to the assigned consulting leader and service team with a focus on - Strategic Leadership, Strategic Implementation and Operational Optimization. In this capacity, operations is accountable to ensure tools, processes, and systems exist and effectively support the delivery of quality services to RSM's clients.

Areas of Focus:

Strategic Leadership - Planning | Analysis | Leadership

  • Support and Execution
    • Partner strategically with and / or serve as a surrogate for assigned Consulting Leader to support the execution of short and long-term goals
    • Participate in setting direction, making decisions, develop implementation plans and performance measurements for the ongoing success of the team
    • Partner strategically with assigned Consulting Leader to develop leadership meeting objectives and agendas, facilitate leadership meetings, and provide management oversight to strategic and tactical imperatives
    • Participate in and contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies
  • Performance Analysis
    • Utilize performance reports and systems to perform detailed analysis of identified under performing areas summarizing findings and improvement recommendations to the Consulting Leader
  • Business Oversight
    • Continually identify, assess, monitor and communicate the issues and risks of a project/activity to the appropriate stakeholder
    • Provide interim hands-on leadership, management and oversight to troubled initiatives on an as-needed basis
    • Provide day to day and ongoing performance management, development, coaching and exit-counseling of employees

  • Partner with assigned Consulting Leader, consulting team, and internal departments (human resources, sales, marketing, finance, legal, NORM, etc.) to develop, implement and maintain efficient and effective operational support processes

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor degree required

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two to four years experience working in a professional services firm; consulting preferred
  • Minimum of five to seven years working in assigned area with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Project coordination and/or management experience to drive internal iniatives within the Consulting practice
  • Previous experience in managing others in a team environment – direct or indirectly
  • Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly excel, word, power point, Outlook
  • Visio required
  • Financial analysis (understand net revenues, margin, FTE headcounts, bill rates)
  • Data analytics

· The ability to work with partner and director level internal stakeholders, directing them to be responsive and collaborative
