Network Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot Layer 1 through 4 issues with equipment counters and packet captures.

  • Plan, coordinate, and deploy Layer1 optical transport and Layer2/3 Ethernet switch topologies.

  • Liaise with software developers, support staff, & traders regarding network capabilities.

  • Integrate custom FPGA with complementary network solutions for maximum effectiveness.

  • Communicate with exchanges, external vendors, and network peers in a clear and concise manner.

Network Engiener Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields

  • 3+ years of network engineering, network administration, or network related experience

  • Exposure to multi-vendor environments

  • Proficient with Python or Perl scripting and SQL data models

  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems

  • C/C++ programming experience
