Marketing Resource & Traffic Manager
Locations: Chicago and Indianapolis
A Marketing Resource & Traffic Manager provides oversight of marketing projects across the marketing organization to help ensure the work gets done. Responsible for scheduling all jobs, moving them through the various stages of development, and assigning the right people at the right time in collaboration with marketing leadership. Scheduling includes both staff currently in the workplace and recommending immediate staffing needs, whether outsourcing, growth positions, or project-based contractor needs based on project requirements. The Marketing Resource Manager must be as proficient with coordinating project teams as well as managing projects. They can see both the big picture and the small details.
The role requires the Marketing Resource & Traffic Manager to figure out what roadblocks are in the way of project completion. This professional within the marketing infrastructure must have the skills to troubleshoot issues. The resource works to improve the efficiency of the marketing execution team while ensuring the marketing activity is completed on time and on or under budget.
This role may use software to manage operations, but personal contact with the marketing team resources is required for this role to be successful. The Marketing Resource & Traffic manager must balance the people, workflows, and technology to get the job done. Daily tasks include the oversight of every component of a marketing project across the project portfolio, whether design, content creation, or a promotional event. They work with experts tasked with producing the final marketing product, from graphic designers, copywriters, and project managers. This marketing professional maximizes marketing resources within the organization.
