Description

The Manager Cyber Defense - Insider Threat holds a key position on the CME Group Cyber Defense Resiliency Team, responsible for advancing the mission of identifying potential insider threats. The role will be responsible for leading the cross functional Insider Threat Steering Committee comprised of leaders throughout the organization. The right candidate will drive the program forward as well as be the technical leader working within the details of the solution and the analysis of data. This role will require a hands-on approach, leveraging a strong technical knowledge set of various IT and Security solutions, to analyze and alert on potential insider threats.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Gathering, integrating, reviewing, assessing, and responding to information derived from Security, Human Resources, legal, user-based computer monitoring, and other information sources in order to identify potential insider concerns
  • Maintaining and maturating UEBA tool to data mine and analyze large volumes of data to identify potential insider threat behaviors, indicators, or concerns
  • Handling Insider Threat Case Management through relationships built with Security, Human Resources, and Legal
  • Preparing Insider Threat analysis reports and intelligence papers, including recommendations to mitigate threats to potential insider threat concerns
  • Facilitating Insider Threat Working Group and Steering Committee Sessions
  • Preparing and executing an Insider Threat Program strategy and roadmap
  • Documenting and creation of monitoring and triage processes
  • Participating in creating new detection measures and working with other Cyber Defense functions on proactive threat hunting engagements
  • Managing junior analysts in conducting analysis, inquiries, and investigations

Professional Experience
  • 2+ years of experience building or running an Insider Threat Program or 4+ years in Counterintelligence
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Security/Information Technology
  • Experience with cyber, incident response and digital forensics, security engineering, security operations, computer network operations, information operations, information warfare, or topical cyber
  • Experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience working in the US Intelligence Community or similar intelligence experience
  • Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for information security through coursework/degrees completed, self-study, and/or certifications that have been completed
Preferred Formal Education & Certifications
  • BA/BS in Business, Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Systems or related work experience
  • ITPM - Insider Threat Program Manager
  • ITVA - Insider Threat Vulnerability Assessor
  • CI/HUMINT Certification
  • DSAC - Intelligence Analyst Course (I / II)
  • CISSP - Certified Information System Security Professional
  • GCIH - GIAC Certified Incident Handler
