The Product Analyst will support Nuveens Global Product business management efforts of the various product wrappers and asset classes across Nuveen and respective affiliated investment managers. This individual will be responsible for creating analysis to evaluate product pricing, financial transparency, and profitability assessments to drive Global Product decision making. The Analyst will partner and interact with Nuveens different business units, including Global Strategic Relations, Distribution, Finance, Marketing, Investment Oversight, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Fund Administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide analysis on Nuveens centralized pricing review and approval process, which allows for rapid response to client opportunities to maximize firm revenues and margins
  • Strive to improve the profitability of various product lines, including rationalization recommendations, adjustments to current program or product pricing, and share class structuring
  • Develop and oversee distribution channel/firm and product level profitability analysis to establish accurate and timely product pricing and placement
  • Manage and track enterprise wide seed and acceleration capital deployment, harvesting, and reporting to ensure alignment to Nuveens strategic pillars and overall growth strategy
  • Review, prepare, and present materials related to payments to intermediaries to the Fund Board, including 12b-1, sub-TA, and revenue share
  • Provide gatekeeping oversight and management of all Nuveen and TIAA distribution agreements and partner with Legal, Global Strategic Relations, and Distribution in an attempt to realize overall cost savings for Nuveen
  • Develop relationships and interact with appropriate subject matter experts, including Portfolio Management, Product Marketing, Investment Oversight, Legal and Compliance, Operations, Fund Accounting and Information Technology to obtain and/or facilitate delivery of projects
  • Identify and suggest process improvements, enhancements, and changes to department processes

QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Previous experience in finance or investment management
  • Proficient with systems including Morningstar Direct, Simfund, and Tableau/Microsoft Office suite of applications, including the ability to rapidly develop professional Powerpoint presentations and in-depth analysis in Excel

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years of experience in investment management
  • Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to convey message clearly and concisely and ability to influence others
  • Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to organize and prioritize to meet project deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a strong worth ethic and ability to work both independently and in a teamwork environment
