Job Summary & Responsibilities:
  • Teams with department managers to identify opportunities for improving employee relation activities and fostering career advancement activities. Counsels on/intervenes in employee relations issues, as necessary. Manages employee relations programs at the department and/or firm level that are complimentary with overall business priorities.
  • Leads Human Resources change management situations by working with department managers to determine and implement appropriate talent action plans. Provides Human Resources input on department overall strategy and people decisions.
  • Manages the firm's employment and staffing activities to insure they fully support, and are aligned with, departmental goals/requirements and are consistent with the firm's diversity commitment as an equal opportunity employer. Facilitates the on-boarding process for newly hired employees.
  • Differentiates sourcing strategies based on client, and initiates/ builds/maintains relationships with external high quality employee sourcing channels. Monitors internal and external recruiting activities to maintain proper compliance with industry and employment law.
  • Manages Human Resources staff and mentors, coaches and counsels Human Resources managers and staff on employee relations matters and overall effectiveness.
  • Participates in other HR and firm projects as requested by management.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 -15 years of HR experience, including: employee relations, staffing/placement, training and development and managing/supervising staff.
  • Human Resource experience in Professional Services/Consulting firm(s) required.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required. MBA preferred.
  • Series 7 and SPHR certification desired.
  • Significant depth and breadth of knowledge regarding employee relations, processes and programs as well as federal and state laws.
  • Experience leading teams of people teams and projects.
  • Supervisory and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to manage and be responsive to multiple customers / projects / issues concurrently.
  • Results-oriented individual who thrives on challenge, growth and change in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and proven team player.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships and provide internal consulting to a wide range of customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Approachable and supportive.
