Opening: Data Products Analyst (SQL Reporting)
Company Background: Credit Suisse HOLT is a financial analytics platform proprietary to Credit Suisse that delivers software services and data feeds. The HOLT platform integrates and processes millions of financial figures for over 20,000 global traded securities. This financial data is assimilated and scrubbed before calculating metrics in a proprietary financial model used by institutional investors on a web platform. HOLT processes require high quality, governed data and rigorous data models with ridged change management and documentation.
Location: Chicago, IL
Position: The Data Team is seeking a SQL report developer whose primary role will be generating and organizing client deliverables and managing contact information. The Data Team works closely with HOLT clients and sales representatives on custom projects. In addition to client facing responsibilities, this role involves interacting with external data vendors, affiliate platforms, as well as internal groups on research projects.
Position Responsibilities: Data products analysts require technical and problem solving skills. Specific responsibilities include:
Generating automated client reports.
Streamlining reporting systems from request to production and delivery.
Designing and maintaining data warehouse architecture, data ingress and egress processes.
Conducting data exploration, solving, and writing processing programs.
Researching and documenting new data sets.
- Qualifications Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in an analytic concentration (Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics or Data Science) or a Finance related degree with demonstrable technical capability.
Candidates should have 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
A background in data architecture and business analysis.
Thorough understanding of data warehouse data mart architectures.
Strong experience with SQL, writing complex queries and stored procedures (Oracle 10g, Sybase IQ, Sybase ASE).
Strong Excel skills including VBA macros.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
Other programming experience (Java, Python, etc), BI tools and familiarity with Linux is a plus.
Experience with financial data and financial platforms (Factset, Bloomberg, Compustat) is a plus.
