We are looking for motivated and talented students who want to help us solve some of the most complex challenges in financial technology. Technology teams at CME write and maintain ultra-low-latency electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, and front-end trading interfaces, all of which are central to CME's business. We are focused on designing, building and deploying customer focused solutions with passion and precision.
CME's Technology Summer Internship program offers students opportunities to learn more about CME's business, our role in the financial industry, and the types of technology that keep our markets running. Students will develop both their technical skills and expand their network with access to industry experts, while working alongside other talented and ambitious students with a passion for FinTech.

The GIS Delivery internship is designed to strengthen an intern's knowledge in project and portfolio management. You will learn about aspects of project and portfolio management within Global Information Security, including: developing an annual planning tool through SQL/PL programming, creating a project portfolio dashboard to report to stakeholders in Tableau and learning the fundamentals of project execution within the CME organization.

This internship is designed to give you real world experience and develop skills to succeed within the technology and information security industry. As a GIS Project Management intern, you will work with a diverse team of highly skilled project and portfolio managers. This is a great environment to gain experience for your career while providing value to CME Group.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Self-motivated and interested in project management
  • Possess high level analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with SQL/PL programming and scripting language, knowledge in Oracle Apex is a plus
  • Ability to interpret data and analyze results using data visualization tools, knowledge in Tableau is a plus
  • Currently enrolled in a university seeking a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or related program
