Technology teams at CME write and maintain ultra low-latency electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, and front-end trading interfaces, all of which are central to CME's business. CME's Technology Internship program offers students opportunities to learn more about CME's business, our role in the financial industry, and the types of technology that keep our markets running. Students will develop both their technical skills and expand their network with access to industry experts, while working alongside other talented and ambitious students with a passion for FinTech.

CME Group Cyber Defense Center interns will gain an unparalleled experience in cyber security and financial technology. This internship will focus on key areas within the cyber security field, including threat intelligence, incident response, automation & orchestration, and forensics.

Interns can participate in several core roles, including:

•         Cyber Threat Intelligence
•         Incident Response
•         Automation and Orchestration (Development)

Minimum qualifications:
•         Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree
•         Studying Computer Science or related a field
•         Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
•         Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
•         Excellent written and oral communication skills
•         Excellent interpersonal skills
•         A passion for problem solving
•         Interest in a cyber security related career
•         Basic knowledge of networking concepts (OSI model)

Bonus qualifications:
•         Previous technical experience
•         Experience with UNIX/Linux
•         Experience with Windows
•         Experience with Python
•         Knowledge of cyber threat landscape
•         Understanding of cyber security concepts and tools
