This role will be responsible for supporting the Global Brand Marketing and Communications Division, primarily supporting the media relations, employee communications/community relations, brand marketing/event management and broadcast/social media functions. This position will provide the intern with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, while working with a variety of corporate communication professionals at CME Group.

For media relations, the candidate will assist in conducting research, developing and maintaining press lists, participating in brainstorming meetings, and assisting with pitch letters, media interview briefs and press releases.

For employee communications/community relations, the candidate will assist with content creation/audit/management for the employee intranet, story/writing assignments and other project support as needed.

For brand marketing/event management, the candidate will assist with special events, programs and campaigns.

Requirements include:
• Resourceful and well organized
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications
• Social media savvy
• Must have an interest in financial services and/or capital markets
• Preferably a Communications, Public Relations or Journalism major
