YOUR IMPACT:
The position of Client On-Boarding Analyst in US Shareholder Services is ideal for someone who is interested in learning all the requirements for new clients to invest in GSAM funds (e.g. mutual funds, hedge funds) and streamlining the process with a client service mindset. To successfully on-board client relationships, this role involves communication and coordination across many internal teams, such as Tax, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Service. This position requires adhering to laws and regulations, a thorough understanding of a client service/on-boarding environment, and an in-depth knowledge of the industry, our client base, and our systems.

The Client On-Boarding team plays a critical role within Strategic Client Services by ensuring all investment requirements are met and making the client experience as streamlined as possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL:
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal clients with respect to client on-boarding initiatives; including answering account documentation inquiries, acting as the service stakeholder for policy/procedure related discussions, and establishing client accounts on the Transfer Agent systems
  • Verify that all documentation received from the client comply with regulatory and compliance standards, as well as firm-wide AML guidelines
  • Communicate and work closely with client-facing Service and Sales teams to provide high quality service to our Institutional and Intermediary Partners
  • Work on special projects as necessary (e.g. automation related projects, new business lines)
  • Partner with Management and other Service Representatives to build long term successful and scalable service models
  • Cultivate a service environment targeted towards enhancing the client experience
  • Analyzing and problem solving, both independently and with the team
  • Monitor and escalate on-boarding issues to ensure a high quality response to clients

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications:
  • Extremely detailed oriented
  • Highly analytical with the ability to creatively provide solutions
  • Ability to deliver superior client service to internal and external clients
  • Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Proficient PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a financial industry service environment
  • Series 7 and Series 63 (needs to be obtained within 3 months of hire)
