Location: Chicago

The Position: Analyst, Finance

  • Work with the Assistant Vice Presidents of Finance and Accounting to prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes for US, CA and UK domiciled entities
  • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assist the team in preparing audit schedules and support for annual audit
  • Enhance existing processes based on the needs of the business
  • Review:
    • Accounts Payable transactions to ensure correct coding
    • Travel and Entertainment expense reports to ensure compliance with policy
    • Review and enter bank account activity, as necessary
  • Work on special projects for the Director and Vice President of Finance and Accounting as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other Business discipline
  • 1-3 years of professional accounting work, with Public Accounting experience preferred
  • Minor or some professional experience in management information systems with an interest in leveraging information technology to achieve business objectives
  • Financial background, ideally with a background in the financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct and/or Certify expense reporting software programs beneficial
  • Exposure or working knowledge of Host Analytics financial planning and analysis tool beneficial
  • Ability to make linkages between tasks and the broader function and organization
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Aptitude and desire to assist the Vice President of Finance and Accounting with efficiency and technological initiatives, specifically budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to deal effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Able to establish priorities, meet deadlines and work in fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with team members disbursed between Chicago and New York
