As part of a dynamic, global organization of more than 47,000 people serving clients in more than 130 countries, we have the agility and focus it takes to be a leader
As part of the marketing organization, the national proposal center of excellence (theStudio) is expanding to become the Pursuit Center of Excellence (COE). As such, the team is expanding to enable the development and delivery of sales support materials and credentials, enhancing client touch-points throughout the buyer journey. The Pursuit COE is hiring a senior associate, who will report to the pursuit COE leader, and will manage the project assignments for all incoming proposal and sales deliverable requests into the intake, manage team workflow, and make project assignments across theStudio and the newly developed sales materials team. The Workflow Coordinator will also take on sales materials projects as time allows. The allocation of time between managing workflow and managing sales materials projects is TBD. Flexibility, an open mind and a good sense of humor is required as the role evolves.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pursuit COE team in the early stages of development, and help shape this resource center into a world-class, highly valued function within Grant Thornton, building upon the remarkable success of theStudio.
Are you a match?
You take the word organized to a new level – The papers on your desk are in neat piles, if not already filed away in your labeled, alphabetically ordered file cabinet. You wish Amazon had the “subscribe & save” discount to automatically send you tape refills for your label maker. Tetris is your jam – When problems arise from level 1 to 10, you quickly and creatively think through not just one solution, but several to fit the need at hand, and quick! Process improvement is in your blood – Do something 10 times? You’ll think of nine ways to do it better next time. You are an adrenaline junkie – Pressure? That only makes you focus better. You are resourceful – You believe answers are just lying in wait and so you look under every proverbial rock. You think two minds are better than one – while you take pride and ownership of your work, you love it when collaborating improves the end result. You catch the details – You don’t see one question in an email but miss the other two. You check your list. In fact, you check it twice. You are “all over it” – You self-start. Even if you can’t do something right away, you’ll contact the person to let them know you’ll be on it very soon. You know how to lead the horse to water and you kill it with stellar communication and a well-thought out plan. You don’t like to get too far from the work – You know that rolling up your sleeves and helping your team with execution makes you a more connected, knowledgeable and respected colleague.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the Pursuit COE theStudio handles 2,400+ proposals each year, and the soon to be established sales materials team will handle a yet to-be-determined quantity of sales deliverables annually. Resource management – keep tabs on the workload and availability of individuals across theStudio and U.S. sales materials team, as well as outsourced contractors. Reach out to individuals to confirm ownership of new projects.

Sense of urgency – maintain the standard of excellence where requests into the Pursuit COE are assigned within 24 hours of being notified of the request.
Technology – quickly adopt and leverage new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Process improvement – monitor current traffic processes and share ideas on how to improve current practices where possible.
Tracking – comply and use CRM database to track all proposal information required to develop weekly, monthly and quarterly reports. Ensure data is accurate and updated real-time.
Reporting and analysis – assist with reporting and analysis as needed.
Branding – Elevate the PCOE’s reputation and strengthen its brand by communicating positively and professionally, demonstrating strategic sales acumen, resolving issues as they arise and creating best practices to increase the win rate.
Sales Credentials and Proposal Strategy – With limited supervision or guidance from the team manager, identify winning strategies by understanding the external and internal client needs, challenge the status quo and create sales deliverables that are customized and tailored to the target audience.
