    This position’s primary responsibility is to prepare and negotiate complex transaction structures for railcars and locomotives.

    • Preparation of various types of documentation for complex transaction structures
      Lead client and legal negotiations
    • Communicate and continual follow-up via phone and email with customers and sales to obtain executed documents.
    • Review outbound documentation prepared by co-workers
    • Senior role in the training of new hires within the team
    • Field and respond to documentation questions from external and internal customers
    • Preparation of Management reports
    • Documentation reconciliation with CRMS, Sales Force and E Portal
    • Assist in the research and development of new legal language to be used within documents (with input from legal department and other internal areas – final approval required by VP Documentation)
    • Review and update documentation templates as needed
    • Confirm insurance and risk compliance (including self-insurance approval where applicable)
      Process signed documentation (confirm proper scanning, filing and returning documents to customer)
    • Actively participate in due diligence process as it relates to acquisitions and asset sales
    • Draft/Update departmental procedures
      Work with all levels of management within the organization
    • Lead and/or participate in various projects
    • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not required
    • Two to five years’ experience in lease documentation (preferably rail)
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products and ability to learn new systems
    • Process improvement skills required
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Knowledge of legal documents and terms
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • High attention to detail
    • Ability to successfully work with all levels within the organization
    • Strong written and communication skills
    • Organization, detail orientation and accuracy in work product
    • Solid time management skills
    • Superior work ethic and demonstrated integrity
    • Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
