The Construction Manager acts as an Owner's Representative to oversee overall project management for a growing portfolio of multi-family apartment properties in and around the Chicagoland area.

The key responsibilities of the Construction Manager:

  • Project planning, budgeting, and identification of consultants needed
  • Oversee all aspects of the projects from inception to closeout
  • Creating and managing the approved budget and minimizing exposure and risk in the project
  • Bid out projects
  • Negotiate contract pricing
  • Write all scopes of work
  • Establish a schedule and ensure all construction activities run according to plan
  • Obtain RFI's
  • Negotiate change orders
  • Coordinate with architects, interior designers, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors, etc.


The successful Construction Manager:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction management, Architecture or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Experience working in residential renovations
  • 5-15 years of experience in Construction Project Management
  • Experience with CAD
  • Willing to travel nationally
