Client Operations Analyst

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trade Processing: 

  • Analyze and resolve trade discrepancies between exchange and internal bookkeeping system
  • Monitor and balance option exercise instructions at the OCC
  • Liaise with brokers and clients to resolve outstanding items and queries
  • Process and balance client instructions for ETF create/redeem transactions

Post Trade Balancing:

  • Balance options and equities positions versus cleared trade activity 
  • Balance equity settlements for US and Non-US business 

Client Facilitation:

  • Respond to client inquiries in a professional and knowledgeable manner 
  • Cultivate relationship with clients, counterparties and exchanges to improve service level
  • Collaborate with risk and compliance with respect to client inquiries
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and increasing client experience
  • Liaise with client and exchange/venue to establish connectivity
  • Coordinate portal and connectivity testing between ABN, client and venue
  • Facilitate internal and external client position transfers

Process Enhancement:

  • Seek process improvement/automation opportunities to increase efficiency and drive bottom line results 
  • Identify risks and controls within the work procedures for the department.
  • Enhance procedures to improve quality, compliance and efficiency, in line with departmental policy and service level agreements with stakeholders

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of Operations experience in financial markets

Key Competencies:

  • Strong industry knowledge
  • DTC and OCC knowledge, a plus
  • Experience with equity and options trade processing, a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to contribute in a dynamic team environment
  • Strong Microsoft Office knowledge, including VBA
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau, a plus
  • Data analytics, including experience with large data sets, a plus
  • Ability to solve complex problems 
  • Self-motivated and committed to personal and professional development 
  • Ability to act independently with minimal supervision
