Job Summary & Responsibilities:
A Manager in the Accounting department is responsible for managing certain Accounting topics/functions. This role also serves as a consultant for leaders within the organization, advising them of current budgetary information and working with managers to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization.

• Manage/oversee certain accounting topics/functions
• Review the work of the junior staff; review and approve journal entries; ensure account reconciliations are performed accurately and timely; ensure adequate supporting documentations for journals and accounts are prepared and maintained
• Working closely with the Director of Accounting, responsible for maintaining and development of procedures / controls and drive process improvements
• Active involvement in annual audit processes
• Advise business unit / department management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization
• Ensure compliance with the financial procedures of the organization; assist with audits, ad-hoc inquiries and projects as requested.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7+ years of general accounting experience; strong preference for public accounting experience
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Experience in financial services industry or public accounting firm a plus
• CPA designation strongly preferred or in process
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • NetSuite experience a plus
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures
  • Proven technical accounting research and understanding of current accounting issues
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams and resolve issues
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making and analytical abilities
  • Series 7 desirable.
