Nuveen is the largest independent provider of Retail Separately Managed Accounts (SMA). The Account Administration team is responsible for onboarding clients investing in Nuveen's separate account strategies. The candidate will work closely with internal sales professionals and external financial advisors to provide support through the initial transition period. The role will also provide service support for ongoing client directed transactions.


  • Review new account paperwork and input client data into various systems
  • Work with external advisor teams to onboard new client accounts
  • Facilitate client directed changes to existing portfolios (e.g., registration changes, strategy changes, security restriction requests, terminations, etc.)
  • Work with internal trading teams and external clients to approve and apply trading restrictions and/or customization requests
  • Review account exception reports to identify potential risk outliers
  • Record and channel incoming documents throughout internal teams
  • Collaborate with both internal departments and external clients in discussing operations related requests or activities
  • Prepare ad-hoc statement reports

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • General knowledge of financial markets and products
  • Knowledge of Separately Managed Accounts (SMA)
  • Security APL system's experience is a plus
