This is a senior level management role within the Real Assets Fund Services business unit of the State Street Alternative Investment Services Group. The Treasury Vice President interacts with all levels of professionals both internally and externally. Therefore, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates must demonstrate initiative, be able to perform well under pressure and simultaneously direct multiple tasks. Candidate must have strong leadership skills.
Treasury Vice Presidents are responsible in conjunction with their managers to direct the day-to-day treasury and administration needs for several client sponsored investment funds and manage multiple functions including, but not limited to, client onboarding and interaction, team management, wire processing, cash reporting, cash forecasting, credit facility administration, capital call and distribution administration, Anti-Money Laundering and Know-Your-Customer initiatives, bank account and database administration work and special projects. Responsibilities
Provide support for and effectively communicate broad overall company initiatives and goals to managers and staff within span of control. Provide overall direction to department managers and staff to assure yearly operational goals and objectives are accomplished. Supervision of all staff levels. Responsible for development, training and motivation of all team members. Responsible for management and development of direct and indirect reports. Responsible for adequate staffing as business continues growth. Leads the interviewing and onboarding of new staff in conjunction with their management team. Manage a team responsible for wire transfer execution and review, cash positioning and forecasting, cash reporting and credit facility administration. Maintain working relationships with clients at appropriate levels to ensure continued confidence in State Street and our deliverables. Participates in new business process including review of presentations, staffing allocations, and onboarding of new clients. Assess operational effectiveness and identify improvements to streamline functions. Lead a team to ensure implementation of identified improvements. Ability to identify control weaknesses and build enhanced processes. Ensure process and procedures are adequate to meet quality standards and are consistently applied and regularly reviewed within department. Manage internal workflow to ensure internal processing and client deadlines are met. Responsible for the review of credit facility documentation and the review of quarterly compliance reporting. Understanding of bank administration. Responsible for the oversight of Treasury workstation reporting and the daily BAI process. During the course of normal day to day operation, responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and must report and/or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures. Understand and assist with various Anti-Money Laundering and Know-Your-Customer initiatives. Meet all requirements for the performance planning process including goal setting, regular and immediate feedback and submission of formalized performance appraisals. Spearhead multiple special projects simultaneously. Assist Treasury Managing Director with strategic initiatives. Maintain strong, effective relationships with key banking partners. Complete understanding of all banking websites as an end user and security administrator. Comply with audit requests and assist with recommendations.
Candidates must have college degree (business, mathematics, accounting or economics preferred finance degree a plus) and at least 7-10 years of previous experience and 5-7 years of managerial experience. MBA and CTP are strongly desired.
