The Specialist Manager, Government Client Contracts Management supports strategic federal contract administration activities across complex, high-value engagements that directly affect revenue generation and retention. This role advises account leadership on contract strategy, supports compliant execution across the contract lifecycle, and leads analysis and resolution of complex contractual matters. The role also drives negotiation, portfolio oversight, and operational coordination across internal stakeholders.



While all locations will be considered, this role offers a flexible hybrid scheduled with candidates based in Washington, D.C. or Arlington, VA (or nearby) preferred.

Work you'll do



As a Specialist Manager, Government Client Contracts Management on the Enterprise Contract Management & Operations team, you will be responsible for:


  • Leading proposal, award, and contract administration activities for complex federal contracts across the contract lifecycle

  • Reviewing contract actions, identifying contractual risks and opportunities, and implementing action plans to support compliant execution

  • Advising project and account leadership on contract strategy, negotiations, and issue resolution for strategic government engagements

  • Monitoring contract portfolios, pipeline activity, and contract performance to support revenue retention and operational execution

  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders to maintain contract data, resolve discrepancies, and support accurate documentation and reporting

The team



The Enterprise Contract Management & Operations team is responsible for contract administration activities supporting strategic enterprise contract vehicles across Deloitte's Government and Public Services practice. This role will work directly with Contracts professionals, Project Engagement Leadership, Enabling Solutions points of contact, and other internal stakeholders to coordinate the information and decisions required to support compliant contract management and operational execution




Qualifications



Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or another business discipline

  • 8+ years of experience managing multiple federal contract types, including cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-award-fee, firm-fixed-price level-of-effort, time-and-materials, and firm-fixed-price contracts or commensurate experience.

  • Experience supporting federal clients, including civilian agencies such as the Department of State and Internal Revenue Service or Treasury

  • Experience leading projects with organizational impact

  • Experience developing, submitting, and negotiating governmentwide contract vehicles

  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

  • Advanced Degree such as Master of Business Administration, Master of Science degree, or Juris Doctor

  • National Contract Management Association certification, including Certified Federal Contracts Manager, Certified Commercial Contracts Manager, or Certified Professional Contracts Manager

  • Experience in a professional services organization

  • Demonstrated experience managing both prime federal contracts and downstream federal subcontracts or vendor procurement operations governed under federal regulations and procedures

  • Experience managing junior team members

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,000 to $191,00.



You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
