Responsible for partnering with branch teammates to meet the needs of select business clients that are domiciled in the branch channel. This involves both a reactive and proactive team approach through telephone contact. Manages and grows client relationships that meet the thresholds for the Small Business Branch Coverage Model, i.e., existing Small Business clients with annual revenue starting at $250k including privately-held companies and mixed household accounts as needed. Serves as the primary bank contact for the assigned client with individual performance goals of revenue/profit growth, client penetration, service excellence, compliance, etc.
Meet with clients via telephone to assess client needs, conduct a cash cycle conversation, generate revenue from client accounts, improve profit from these accounts, and improve service excellence scores by delivering on the Business Banking value proposition. This is done by engaging reactively on joint meetings with clients and branch teammates, and by proactively contacting targeted clients with an invitation to a joint meeting. Asks for referrals to generate leads for the Business Banking Relationship Managers. Documents loan opportunities. Determines appropriate referral opportunity of larger credits to the Small Business Administration Business Development Officer or the Business Banking Relationship Manager. Qualifications
• High school diploma.
• 3 to 5 years of sales experience of banking/financial products with direct experience of telephone sales in the financial industry.
• In-depth knowledge of business banking products, banking sales process and cycle, understanding how a business operates and its cash flow requirements, and general knowledge of financial statements and tax returns.
• Ability to maintain a business client relationship and build client loyalty.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 5 years or more of sales experience of banking/financial
products or solutions including phone sales and relationship management experience.
