Financial Solutions Lead Analyst (Capital GPO) - VP
At Citigroup, the Capital Planning group plays a central role in business, investments, risk and appropriate returns for shareholders. It is directly responsible for the efficient and prudent management of the corporation's as well as its subsidiaries' capital across the enterprise globally.

This role is in the Capital GPO (Global Process Owner) horizontal that supports the verticals of Capital Planning and Regulatory & Recovery Planning. The GPO team is responsible for ensuring and exploring Process & Data correctness, envision & build Efficiencies in Reporting, Monitoring and Consolidation of Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) and Capital ratios required for capital management metrics and Regulatory Reporting for multiple legal entities.

The candidate will join a dynamic environment that offers numerous opportunities to learn, grow, impact and drive changes for the enterprise. You will be part of an international team supporting the global RWA and Capital planning system and contributing to a project implementation with world-wide scope.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead global rollouts in close collaboration with Technology development teams and business partners, from designing and developing tailored solutions to testing them and making them productive.

  • Act as internal consultant with required versatility to take on Changing and challenging needs for implementing and testing functionalities across the global Citi system landscape.

  • Strong business partnering with internal parties to improve system efficiency, security and business processes by engaging Technology partners on service level agreements and quality standards.

  • Partner with Regulatory Reporting and Support teams to establish correct production of monthly, quarterly and weekly. reports, including data gathering and analysis, as well as reporting tools maintenance and controls.

  • Identify and present key highlights of major trends impacting capital metric components period over period, such as RWA drivers, regulatory changes, etc to Capital Planning & Capital GPO working groups & seniors.

  • Drive team connectivity and involve actively in process improvements and concepts.

  • Ensure continuous compliance with relevant capital management policies, rules and regulations.

  • Partner with technology to drive and implement reporting process enhancements and smooth production execution.

  • For the assigned components, serve as a subject matter expert on the respective regulations, industry trends, data & process.

  • Support management with ad-hoc data and analysis inquiries.

  • Foster relationships with peers and partners in other groups within Treasury and Risk


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Finance or related field. Potentially a Masters.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry preferred

  • CPA preferred

  • Work experience in Basel teams and have knowledge of Basel III, Basel III reforms (sometimes referred to as Basel IV), especially Counterparty Credit Risk.

  • Direct experience with Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) calculation and reporting.

  • Relevant experience in regulatory reporting, capital management or risk management roles.

  • Team player, proactive attitude, analytical mindset and structured approach.

  • In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.

  • Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to see the big picture while managing the details.

  • Experience in preparing concise and effective presentations, including the ability to explain results of complex analysis at a level that resonates across many different audiences.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence peers and at all levels of the organization.

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
