Withum is currently seeking a Systems Administrator.

Reporting to the Senior Systems Manager, the Systems Administrator is globally responsible for the daytoday operations and maintenance of one or more enterprise technology system essential to Withums Core business functions. The Systems Administrator acts as technical resource to management and staff assisting in the operational support of the current computing environment and implementation of technology initiatives that align with the Firms overall strategic plan and its commitment to its staff, its clients, and its communities.

Responsibilities ·

  • Ensure the efficient operations of integrated components within the environment such as servers, routers, firewalls, switches, virtual machine hosts, etc.
  • Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
  • Maintain existing documentation of procedures, operations and network topology.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of current storage hardware devices through the Firms environment.
  • Administer the Veeam backup solution certifying the success of both data backup and data recovery operations.
  • Assist in the development of short and long term storage strategies leveraging emerging technologies to continually improve overall efficiency of data management.
  • Participate in the ongoing development of and validation of the Firms Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plan as a member of BCDR Committee.
  • Implement and ensure compliance of IT related policies and procedures throughout the Firm.
  • Build, maintain and serve as Subject matter expert on VDI and WVD
  • Perform scheduled policy based audit and test on network to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain existing documentation of procedures, operations and network topology.
  • Implement and ensure compliance of IT related policies and procedures throughout the Firm.
  • Serve as onsite representative of the IT team monitoring and implementing existing and new technologies in assigned office.
  • Appropriately prioritize both IT projects and daytoday operations.
  • Understand business needs, educate staff on technology and how to use it as a strategic asset.
  • Stay up to date with key technology development/issues within the technology and accounting industry.
  • Must be able to travel internally as well as throughout the continental US.

Position Requirements

  • ·Bachelors degree in Information Technology or computer related field preferred. Equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable.
  • Ideal candidate has current VMware, MCSE and Azure certifications.
  • Advance understanding of Cloud technology (Azure/AWS)
  • Minimum of 5 years onhands systems and/or networking support in a Windowsbased computing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Resourceful and innovative problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate solution and resolution information to end users.
  • Passion for technology and interest in exploring new technologies.
  • Willingness to travel to remote offices and industry events as needed.
  • Ability to be flexible with work schedule hours to ensure successful completion of projects
