Trader - Prediction Markets
Location: Miami
Summary:
a rapidly growing proprietary trading team focused on identifying and executing investment opportunities within the live events market. The team trades tickets across primary and secondary marketplaces, leveraging proprietary data, analytics, and alternative datasets to generate returns across concerts, sports, and other live entertainment events. This is a highly impactful role where you will be a core member of a lean investment team, helping drive investment decisions and capital allocation from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities across live events, including concerts, sports, and entertainment.
- Develop buy and sell recommendations using a combination of market data, alternative data, and proprietary analytics.
- Monitor and actively manage inventory positions with holding periods ranging from minutes and hours to multiple days or longer.
- Oversee execution of investment decisions and manage portfolio risk across multiple ticket marketplaces.
- Analyze supply, demand, liquidity, pricing dynamics, and market timing to optimize returns.
- Utilize a wide range of datasets including ticket market data, artist engagement metrics, streaming trends, Spotify listeners, TikTok activity, social media engagement, and historical event performance.
- Partner with technology and data teams to improve research tools, dashboards, trading infrastructure, and data pipelines.
- Help shape and scale the firm's next-generation trading and investment platform for live event markets.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing risk and making investment decisions.
- Background in proprietary trading, quantitative trading, sports betting, prediction markets, or market making,
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities with attractive risk/reward profiles and act decisively under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive investment decisions.
- Comfortable operating in less liquid markets where timing, inventory management, and execution are critical.
- Experience working with large datasets, research tools, dashboards, or quantitative workflows.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to operate in a small, high-impact team environment.
