As a Risk Analysis Analyst, you will identify the risks and prepare risk recommendations that will be presented at the various Governance forums by conducting client risk analysis based on financial crime risk consistent with Deutsche Bank's risk appetite in coordination with Financial Crime Operations, Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Fraud, Bribery & Corruption, Business & Client Intelligence Unit, and Business Line Advisory. You will assist in the coordination all FCO-related reviews of clients/underlying customers of Deutsche Bank's correspondent clients related to SARS, Sanctions, Fraud inputs, which also may include incorporating information from periodic reviews, monthly risk forums, Client Intelligence Unit and other ad hoc requests.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team with Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) Governance during the planning, fieldwork, and conclusion stages for any review conducted in relation to the America's Client Forum or Risk Identification Forum

  • Work with FCO Management Information & Reporting team to deliver timely, relevant, and reliable Management Information on any clients/underlying customers of Deutsche Bank's correspondent clients in relation to risk analysis reporting

  • Prepare the analysis that will be utilized in the presentations and reports on behalf of the Head and Deputy Head of FCO Americas on a periodic and ad hoc basis

  • Accountable for preparing timely and effective Executive and Board level communications and reporting, as well as coordination and management of regulatory and audit reviews and action plans

  • Provide information as part of the development training and education guidance memorandums that ensure quality and robust decision-making abilities on matters such as involving FinTechs, Digital Payments (e.g. e-payments, electronic money transfers), Digital Assets (e.g. cryptocurrency, capital markets products migrated on blockchain technology), and similar electronic mediums of exchange

  • Assist FCO with the development and identification of FCO risk mitigation analysis for current and emerging risks


Your Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing compliance laws, rules, regulations and best-practice Extensive knowledge of risk management and compliance

  • Robust knowledge of OFAC and Sanctions compliance, Know Your Client (KYC), AML and related US and global regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to impact and influence others to address compliance risks

  • Strong operational knowledge of USD payment systems, including SWIFT, CHIPS, ACH, and FedFunds. Ability to assess complex, ambiguous fact patterns, evaluate possible financial crime risks, and effectively communicate such risks to management

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Experience managing teams of employees, particularly in remote location
