AVP - Internal Communications Sr Analyst (Consultant) - Customer Experience & Continuous Improvement
The Emp & Client Comms Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Acts as a consultant by applying in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

  • Assist in executing employee communications strategies and work with diverse groups to produce various content including written and video content and facilitates an open exchange of ideas and solutions.
  • Write and edit employee communications to deliver consistent messaging.
  • Manage and oversee content and distribution of newsletters as necessary.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Ability to work in a constantly changing corporate environment, independently as well as on a team
  • 5-8 years experience

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

The Communications Officer in this role, will perform the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Develop, write and edit communications materials including weekly, monthly reports and monthly operating reviews
  • Directs the overall flow of information for Service Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Partners across key groups to secure required information to support communications plans.
  • Manages special projects of varying type and size.
  • Prepares and manages all communications being produced
  • Maintains a calendar of required communications and deadlines.
  • Delivers written and verbal communications by designated deadlines.
  • Drives message development and pitch strategies.
  • Maximizes opportunities for the organization to be featured in various types internal reviews.
  • Develops internal newsletters.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • 2+ years prior experience in a communications or marketing role
  • Ability to digest large volumes of data and convert the data into consumable message and action plans in power point version
  • Excellent senior management presentation skills. Ability to create succinct materials that is consumable by any party
  • Understand the best practices of main social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc
  • Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
  • Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, InDesign, and Illustrator is an asset
  • Understanding of communications, public relations and marketing best practices
  • Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts
  • Must be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
