Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management

Job Summary

Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for the development, implementation, execution, and maintenance of the Enterprise Risk Management Program globally.

Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management is responsible for designing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Framework, policies and standards, development and implementation of risk assessment processes, partnering with the lines of business to ensure consistent processes are adhered to for managing risk across the Company and reporting to executive management. Work must be accurate, judgement sound and must exhibit the highest level of integrity, ethics, and an ability to calmly and effectively manage through stressful situations. The Principal should also have the ability to identify key emerging risks for the Company and partner with the businesses to develop effective risk mitigation strategies.

Global Head of Enterprise Risk Management will report directly to Finastras Global Chief Risk Officer. In addition, the candidate will interface with regulators (Fed, OCC and FDIC) and other external constituents as well senior and executive leaders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and executing to global Enterprise Risk management strategy and roadmaps
  • Develops and maintains the Enterprise Risk Management policies and procedures, identifies standards, performance criteria, internal controls, processes and systems needed, and recommend enhancements to the program as appropriate including assessing and aligning the program with industry standards and practices.
  • Develops and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of the Enterprise Risk management program, policies, procedures and the Companys adherence to relevant laws, rules and regulations.
  • Develops and monitors key risk indicators and risk appetite statements for the Company.
  • Partner closely with business and IT functions to establishes and administer Risk Assessments for the Company and monitors risk mitigation plans and actions.
  • Leads execution of key initiatives supporting the Enterprise Risk management Program for the Company on a global basis.
  • Develops and manages eGRC and other data and analytics tools to support risk management programs
  • Provide ongoing monitoring, tracking and reporting of issues and remediation activities to executive management.
  • Monitor regulatory guidance for changes to requirements and interact with Internal Audit and other examiners such as the clients and regulators, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • At least ten (10) years of work experience developing or leading Enterprise Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, and/or Financial Risk Management functions, preferably in large financial institutions or large public corporations.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in compliance risk management preferably in Fintech
  • Bachelors of Arts or Sciences degree preferably in the fields of Information Systems, Business Administration, or related major.
  • Having or pursuing one or more relevant professional certification, such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • Hands-on IT/Security risk management experience
  • Ability to write and govern Global Company policies
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment
  • Must be detail oriented but have a strategic mindset
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and the ability to present to various levels of audiences from peers to executives.
  • Ability to succeed in a continuous changing environment

Preferred Experience/Skills:

  • Familiarity with risks related to IT application development and infrastructure maintenance, IT security, business continuity and disaster recovery, financial risks, and emerging technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of risk management practices, including the lifecycle of risk identification, treatment, mitigation, acceptance, remediation as well as inherent and residual risks.
  • Knowledge and experience with laws, regulations, guidelines, and frameworks within the financial services industry that mandate information security and information risk management requirements such as FFIEC, NIST, ISO27001, GLBA, SOX, etc.).
  • Ability to self-manage successfully in dynamic, evolving and sometimes ambiguous circumstances.
  • Ability to effectively oversee concurrent activities and work as both an individual contributor and lead a team of direct reports including team management and development.
  • Excellent organization, presentation, project management, and written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate across a broad range of constituencies, including senior management and Board of Directors.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Fintech experience

  • Expert Microsoft Office (WORD, Powerpoint, EXCEL, and VISIO) skills: Able to determine the appropriate software tool and produce professional results.
