What will you contribute?

The Regional Digital Sales Director is responsible for leading a team of Sales Managers managing 30+ Sales Executives and Account Executives to achieve or exceed sales quota. This includes developing new business to drive net new booking as well as renewing and expanding existing client relationships across the Finastra product lines.

In addition, the Director will be expected to work closely with the Sales Training organisation to ensure a clear career development programme is embedded into their organisation to create a talent bench for both the Digital Sales and the field led teams as they progress.

As an integral leader at Finastra the Director will be expected to work closely and be aligned with the field sales organisation and the wider ecosystem such as Marketing, GSC (presales), Product, Partner and sales training. Clear communication cadences must be embedded to ensure the Digital Sales Function is executing on the Americas goals of booking, revenue, talent development, and continuous innovation and learning.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Direct team to create and manage a territory plan that includes activities for quota attainment.
  • Have experience managing junior managers with the ability to enhance and develop their skillsets.
  • Ensure Digital Sales Reps are supported in hitting their goals and continually growing at Finastra through mentoring, coaching and performance management.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand what solutions are in the roadmap for to build pipeline for sales.
  • Tightly align with marketing to ensure demand generation is targeted and insight is fed back accordingly in order to continually enhance our go to market and to improve the level of inbound enquiries.
  • Ensure resource coverage is managed effectively through forward planning.
  • Consistently review systems and tools with sales operations and relevant stakeholders to ensure we are running an optimized business at all times.
  • Be a problem solver and creative thinker to raise and implement ideas to innovate and improve on status quo.
  • Understand market drivers and collaborate with both the client and internal stakeholders to overcome potential impediments.
  • Direct team to analyze financial position and challenges of prospects to determine sales approach.
  • Responsible for the management and submission of accurate data and reporting including territory analysis, pipeline, sales forecasts, budgets, sales system reporting, etc.
  • Ensure team maintains appropriate sales development activity to ensure healthy pipeline management.
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends, competitors, and current/new company products and services.
  • Manage the development of team to ensure successful selling and territory management techniques, including territory management, needs analysis, financial analysis of prospect.
  • Interview, hire, and create on-boarding plans for new or transferred employees.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and educational activities to support employee development that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Create performance goals and objectives; track and communicate progress. Prepare and conduct regular performance evaluations and corrective action plans.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to maintain open communication and share information.
  • Encourage others to seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing problems and opportunities; facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Proven record of building and managing a sales pipeline and achieving/exceeding quota
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to successfully lead others to close business
  • 5-7 years people management experience in an inside sales environment
  • Experience of managing sales and marketing led campaigns
  • Inside sales experience in Enterprise Software; Financial Services or FinTech background desired
  • Experience of managing junior managers
  • Experience of closing deals and ability to present compellingly and negotiate complex deals.
  • Proven ability to articulate value proposition and ROI.
  • Proven record of matching customers needs with solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage sales with multiple decision makers.
  • Responsive, reliable and results oriented.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Basic mentoring, coaching, performance management abilities
  • Ability to train team members and measure application of training
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Outstanding organizational and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional, global environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level attention to detail
  • Innovative thought processes and approach to work
  • Pro-active self-starter with analytical / problem solving skills

Education

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to receive, express, or exchange detailed information through oral and written communication.
  • Ability to see and operate a computer.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, bend, and lift and carry up to 25 lbs. of weight (laptop, projector, suitcase, etc.).

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a general office environment.
  • Some travel may be required.
