Senior Software Engineer - Market Data Services

Currently the Investment Wealth Management team supports a variety of applications and services related to Market Data that are used for driving capabilities across the organization e.g., Investment Research, Investment Management, Trading, Investment Risk, Sales & Marketing and Investment Accounting (Pricing, Security Maintenance).

You will provide expertise and utilize your experience in application development and production support activities to support business needs.

You will design, develop, and debug software enhancements and/or new software products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet environments. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant contemporary software stacks. May interact with end users to define system requirements and/or demonstrate working software at any stage of development.

The IWMT team collaborates and supports the Market Data Services team across a variety of initiatives:
  • Product Upgrades - E.g., Version Upgrades ( Factset, Thomson, Bloomberg, CRISIL
  • Application Support - E.g., Server API monitoring, Bandwidth Monitoring, first level user support (Thomson Reuters Eikon, FactSet), Support issues (BB SAPI, Reuters API, Terminal Issues, Data management /timing issues for Pricing, Investment Management, Trading, Security


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience: Computer Science Engineering (Systems) (Preferred)
  • Min 8 years related experience (Required)
  • Ability to work on Integration Management using Webservices, SOAP, JSON based integration.
  • Ability to go through vendor documentation on API services available and architect, design solutions to integrate vendor data, application in to internal applications.
  • Ability to provide technology recommendations and best practices on vendor data integration methodologies.
  • Example : Bloomberg Server API integration or Thomson Reuters API integration, Upgrades and testing associated with the same.
  • Coordinating upgrades and testing with other AD groups internally in Franklin Templeton (Onetis, Charles River, Trading Support, PAIR systems) and vendor.
