Location: Palm Beach

Seeking an experienced accountant to support the accounting staff in maintaining accounting and financial records for a Palm Beach based single-family office, comprising parent company and multiple affiliates, and its principals.

 

Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, minimum of 2 years’ experience involving related accounting and financial functions, strong communication skills, proficiency and experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com, and ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and independently.

The position is full time, based in Palm Beach, and includes an attractive benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience.

 

Support accounting staff in maintaining accounting and financial records for a single-family office, comprising parent company and multiple affiliates, and its principals.

 

DUTIES:

  • Prepare, input, and post journal entries into the general ledger system
  • Prepare bank and intercompany reconciliations, including the preparation/release of wire transfers
  • Process Accounts Payables as directed, including verification of appropriate approvals
  • Research and resolve accounts payable issues with internal departments and vendors
  • Assist with payroll processing and allocation
  • Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements with supporting schedules
  • Review incoming mail and distribution to appropriate personnel
  • Assist with and complete special projects as assigned
  • Comply with applicable accounting, internal control, antifraud and other company policies

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar discipline; or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience involving related accounting and financial functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
  • Previous experience in payables processing
  • Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in QuickBooks and Bill.com preferred
