Job Description:

As a member of BlackRock’s HR Tax Compliance function, the Vice President role will work with a team of HR professionals in a fast paced and dynamic work environment. The role will be responsible for tax operations and administration working closely with teams across HR including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation and Global Mobility; as well as partners in Finance and Legal.

The HR Tax Vice President will support HR in managing key tax-related programs, policies, processes and vendors and help to drive strategic and tactical initiatives supporting Blackrock’s HR programs. The role requires deep knowledge of global employment taxes and cross border taxation, strong expatriate tax knowledge, a focus on risk mitigation and experience with managing business travel compliance globally. The role will also require vendor management, project management & stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Be subject matter expert relative to all international employee tax matters for Talent Mobility team members, employees and stakeholders
  • Oversee all tax related operational processes, to include cost estimates, compensation collection, tax accruals and tax equalizations (including collection);
  • Participate in ownership and development of all international employee income tax related policies, processes and initiatives;
  • Participate in driving finance-related activities to include program budgeting & total cost reporting
  • Be primary day-to day owner of relationship with global tax vendor(s) and oversee tax program administration
  • Work closely with regional payroll teams on tax administration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in HR employment and expatriate tax globally
  • Very strong functional competence and experience
  • Strong customer focus and collaboration skills
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of HR processes and HR information systems
