Description

The Collections and Recovery Risk team's mission is to help customers bring their accounts current or fairly resolve their debt.  The Collections and Recovery Risk team owns strategy and policy and partners closely with the Operations and Technology teams on implementation and execution.

This position is within the Branded Cards Collections Specialty Queue team that is part of Branded Cards Collections and Recovery Risk team which. The team is responsible for managing collections strategies related to Brands ex Costco, Costco, consumer and business card.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Hypothesis development, analysis, test design, test vs. control analysis, development of recommendations, and oversight of implementation
  • Identifying new strategies and efficiencies in collections
  • Designing tests and rollout strategies
  • Analyzing tests and performance using SAS
  • Conducting P&L analysis
  • Developing, validating and/or reviewing management reporting
  • Partnering with others (both inside & outside the team) to implement and assess strategy changes

Qualifications

  • Qualifications include a 4 year degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field. Graduate degree is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5+ years of Credit Cards related experience or 6+ years related analytic experience using quantitative analysis, preferably in a risk context.
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in statistical analysis with working knowledge of at least one of the following statistical software packages: SAS (preferred), SPSS, Statistica, S+ or some equivalent.
  • Experience with SQL programming in a UNIX environment.
  • Establish solid cross-functional partnerships and networks to contribute and execute cross-functional and business initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, excellent interpersonal skills, thought leadership and should be comfortable working with ambiguity.
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrable analytic and project management skills.
