Key Responsibilities:
The primary focus of this role is support strategic oversight of the risk policy execution and monitoring for the Global Consumer Risk Management organization as the 2nd Line of Defense.

This role will be instrumental in establishing robust operational readiness for policy execution, risk identification, mitigation and prevention, and also doing an effective challenge to the In-Business process owners leveraging on the Risk Oversight Tools that are part of the GCRM framework.
  • Provide oversight of policy adherence of the GCCFRP
  • Work with the Independent Risk teams in NAM, LATAM and APAC to execute the MCA process for the Global Consumer Risk Management
  • In coordination with the Independent Risk partners, create a feedback loop to improve the control environment identifying trends on topics that indicate emerging risks
  • Provide support on the documenting and updating new policies/procedures/standards supporting the implementation of policies execution at In-Business and/or Oversight level
  • Partner with FRI to keep a robust set of metrics to monitor the Consumer Risk Oversight Policy Execution
  • Identify changes in Global Consumer Credit Fraud and Risk Policy (GCCFRP) or relevant regulations that may lead to changes to the Risk Policy Oversight framework (RPO)   
  • Evaluate process issues identified for GCRM and ensure adequacy of Root Cause Analysis and corrective action plans are in place and timely executed
  • Assist Independent Senior Risk Policy Execution and Risk Transformation Manager to lead / present relevant material as necessary at senior level governance forums such as Town Hall/SCO Forums, MCA Continuous Monitoring Process, Credit Risk Strategy OpCom as well as for meetings with important stakeholders like the Regulators, 3rd Line of Defense and senior management.
  • Support the coordination of the GCRM forums
  • Ensure effective change management process of policy/standards/procedures are in place and up to Citi standards

  • Qualifications

    • Experience in managing complex projects with diverse stakeholder groups
    • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related Master's Degree is highly preferred
    • Strong energetic lead with advanced presentation and communication skills
    • 5+ years of experience in consumer credit risk management and/ or process re-engineering and automation. Prior consulting experience a plus
    • Effective negotiation skills, a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues and strength in sustaining independent views.
