This role will report to the Branded Cards Head of Risk Appetite & Risk Capital and will be dedicated to ensure capital reporting, capital modeling and capital adequacy are well understood within the Branded cards organization and capital decisions are proactively embedded in business decisions.  The successful candidate is expected to work with a significant level of independence and work directly with senior members of the Management team including the business CFO and CRO.

The Credit & Portfolio Senior Risk Manager is responsible for in depth understanding of capital requirement, trends and drivers, performing sensitivity analysis on business decisions, strong collaboration with stakeholders such as Business and Finance and communicating with senior management. 

Qualifications

BA/BS or advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline strongly preferred
8-10 years of Credit Risk experience w/ a strong understanding of risk management
Broad understanding of overall credit card business model and key drivers
Demonstrated aptitude/ preference for working in teams and building relationships
Must be able to present financial and accounting concepts and methodologies to external auditors and senior management
Attention to detail, experience in auditing, accounting or financial statement analysis
Advanced usage of Excel required, desire to learn or knowledge of SAS/SQL
Strong desire to proactively identify gaps and improve the status quo
Strong business and technical writing skills - ability to independently produce high-quality business memoranda and technical documents
Ability to work with senior managers to help build consensus to address difficult and complex business needs
Ability to manage complex processes and deliver results within compressed timelines
