Citi Cards is a global market leader in the credit card industry. US Branded Cards generates revenues of over $8B annually on average loans of ~$85B. The US Branded Cards Financial Planning and Analysis Team is a critical component of the US Consumer Finance team, providing analytical and strategic support to the US Branded Cards CFO and CEO as well as US Consumer leadership.

The US Branded Cards FP&A Team is looking for a highly analytical and dynamic individual to provide Executive Decision support for the full P&L. The well-matched candidate will provide insightful financial and strategic support focused on guiding senior management within the business towards making key strategic decisions on how to generate and drive revenue growth and expense saving opportunities over the short and long term. The role will also own the planning process and will interact across the Business to create the Strategic Plan.

Key responsibilities
  • This role will lead the analytics and external audience presentation process for the US Branded Cards business. Critical responsibilities include ownership of the Quarter End Flash Deck, narrative preparation, other Senior Mgmt Presentations (e.g. Strategic Plan) and Portfolio Analytics.
  • Prepare necessary support materials for these critical presentations, including analytics on portfolio trends, Interest Earning balance performance, expense productivity, etc.
  • Present analysis and forward looking views for US Branded Cards to Finance and Business Leads
  • Partner and work closely with the Product Management Finance team and Business Product Managers to understand key product performance and associated risks and opportunities
  • Work with others across the organization to help influence senior management decisions. Partner with other various support organizations critical in collectively running a successful and results driven organization, including Procurement, Decision Management, Risk, Acquisitions and Marketing


  • BS (MBA preferred) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience of financial analysis in a large corporate environment (credit card experience and previous experience leading a team are a plus)
  • Excellent quantitative/analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex consumer behavior and business trends into meaningful and actionable presentation observations
  • Demonstrated strengths in building trusted relationships with management
  • Ability to work independently with a proven track record of solving problems and delivering solutions
  • Experience working effectively in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment within a matrix organization
  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills (VBA and Access a plus)
  • Knowledge of systems like Hyperion, SAS, Essbase, etc. a plus
